Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at Cassaundra@Mystocats.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

We are a small, in-home CFA cattery, dedicated to physical and social health of our cats. Our goal is maintaining proper hygiene and health while overloading with love to pass on to you.

In almost every situation I am going to say YES! There is nothing better than watching 2 kittens grow up together. Cats are not as solitary as some would think. The sleep together, clean each other, play together, chase each other. This type of interaction simply cannot be replicated by any interactive pet toy, no matter how advanced or entertaining it may be.

Combining the companionship a cat receives from another cat with the human interaction you will provide, gives your kittens the most emotionally balanced and fulfilling life possible. This dynamic leads to happier, more confident cats who are mentally stimulated and emotionally secure.

If you are in a situation where 2 cats are not possible this does not mean having 1 cat is not an option. This just means you will need to provide extra love and affection :) and plenty of interactive toys to keep your cat from getting bored.

Physically, Exotic Longhair kittens and Persian kittens look nearly identical—both feature the extreme flat face, round cheeks, large expressive eyes, short muzzle, snub nose, and cobby body that define the breed standard. The key distinction is the Persians boast a pure Persian bloodline, while Exotics carry a touch of American Shorthair heritage, influencing their temperament and vitality.

Yes. If you live greater than 3 hrs away from my location, I am willing to travel to meet up to a certain mile radius. I can meet in the following cities for a small fee:

Ohio:
  Dayton (southeast side)

   Columbus

   Cincinnati (southeast side)

   Canton

Kentucky:

   Lexington

Virginia:

   Blacksburg

West Virginia:

I do not provide stud services. This is for the health of my cats. This protects them from the viruses and bacteria that can be carried in and passed on. No amount of money is worth the health of my cats.

Absolutely! We can facetime, or I can send photos of the kitten you are interested in.

No, we do not accept exchanges due to health reasons.  However, if you feel like you are no longer in a position to take care of the kitten/cat then we will take it back without any issue. We do not want any of our kittens/cats to end up in a shelter, rescue or unsuitable home. We do NOT issue refunds, however, if we are able to resale the kitten/cat, we will work with you on recuperating some of your purchase price.

To reserve your kitten, we require a $500 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit that will go toward your total purchase price. This deposit can be paid via electronic payment via CASHAPP or VENMO. The balance will be due, in cash (unless electric payment has been discussed ahead of time) when you pick up your new kitten

*Please be sure you really want the kitten you have chosen before paying the deposit! Once a kitten is reserved, no one else will be able to reserve that kitten.

**Your deposit will be deducted from your final adoption fee but is non-refundable if you change your mind.

Kittens include:

*CFA registration information,

*Shot, microchip, spay/neuter and health records,

*A small bag of current kitten food and information on the food,

*Kitten goodie bag with toys, grooming supplies, etc.,

*A folder with the kitten contract and additional kitten information

In the nursery, with the kittens, we start by introducing them to the litter boxes with pine pellets. The pellets are large enough that the kittens won't accidently ingest the litter and has less dust irritants that can cause your kittens eyes to tear and water unnecessarily.

With the adults, we use clumping clay litter in the automated litter boxes and Pretty Litter crystal litter in the other litter boxes.

We feed our kittens/cats, and recommend, Nulo High-Protein Cat & Kitten dry and wet food. This grain-free recipe features real deboned chicken as the #1 ingredient, with 83% animal-based protein to support healthy growth, lean muscle, and overall vitality at all life stages. Formulated with omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids for skin and coat health, prebiotic fiber and BC30 probiotics for digestion and immune support and added taurine to promote heart and vision health. The small, disc-shaped kibble is easy to chew and gentle on sensitive systems.

Made in the USA with high-quality ingredients and no grains, corn, wheat, soy, white potatoes, or tapioca, Nulo provides clean, balanced nutrition you can feel confident feeding your kitten or adult cat.

They free-feed dry food and receive the wet food twice a day. They really look forward to this as a treat, and it is good for them.

*Wet versus dry food. Wet food is NOT to be fed as the only thing you feed your cats. It is NOT made to be 100% of their daily needs. A diet of just wet food can lead to dental problems and diarrhea, plus a cat would have to eat 3 cans of wet food per day to get their daily nutritional needs.

Absolutely! Every kitty should have a kitty tower; a special place they can truly call their own in your home. A kitty tower gives cats:

   * A sense of security and ownership,

*A safe place to observe, relax, and decompress, and

   * An outlet for play, climbing and natural instincts.

Towers can work for multiple cats. What matters most is that they have a least one dedicated vertical space. It helps them feel confident and settled, especially in a new environment.
